Hi everyone!
This is my first post for my new Windows 8 Blog. If you click my profile you can find links to my other blogs including CRM help, computer tricks and other activities.
So this first post will show you how to turn off the Metro theme in the Windows 8 build released on Sept. 13, 2011.
Basically, when you have the normal desktop up hit Windows Key + R. This will give you the run command.
Next type regedit. This will open up the registry. If Windows UAC pops up, click Yes or Allow.
Next navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RPEnabled
Change the RPEnabled value to 0.
That's about it. Once you do that, click the start button and it will look like 7 again.
Thanks for reading, leave me a comment!
